Beginner Fitness Basics | Colaw Fitness Podcast #86

Hey Charles and Amber Colaw here with the fitness tip of the week. So Charles, give us some very simple steps for beginners, beginner fitness basics. Okay, first off, we’re going to give you some statistics. I’ll kind of let you know about fitness. In general.

Only 23% of Americans get regular exercise. That’s only 23%. So 77% of Americans are not getting good exercise. The vast majority. Most of us are not our kind of beginner fitness people. So 77% of people need to be exercising.

So I’m speaking to you guys. I want to start you off the four keys to beginner fitness basics that you can be successful on and get started. So first off, I want you to set realistic goals. At our gyms. We in our clients to come at least three times a week. And I’ve studied lots of different fitness courses and training.

I’ve got a lot of certifications, but even coming just three times a week and doing cardio at 20 minutes at your target heart rate can drop the chance of heart attack and stroke by threefold. So heart attack, stroke and diabetes are all the number one, number two and number three killers in America. And you can drastically reduce your chance of all those major issues.

Beginner Fitness Basics

That’s not like looking good or you know, sexy flexy stuff. That’s just health and wellness. So 20 minutes, three times a week can really reduce, reduce the chance of heart attack, stroke and diabetes. And that’s only one hour a week and 77% of us Americans are not doing that. So that’s number one. Set realistic goals. Make sure you should go in at least three times a week for at least 20 minutes.

Okay? That’s number one. Number two is working out with a buddy, working out with a buddy.

It’s easier to work out regularly when you have a set person that you go with. And what we’ve done at our gyms is every membership that we have has a three bring a friend privilege so you can bring anybody a different person every day. So you always have the freedom of bringing a guest with you. Why? Because we want you to be successful.

And and also going back to that three times a week, our memberships are as low as $5 a month if you come three times a week. So that’s pretty awesome. So that falls in line with those first two components for the four keys for beginner fitness basics. And then next is to pace yourself. A lot of people like I’m going to start getting in shape, so they want to go to the gym like three hours and then they totally burn out.

So don’t go to the, don’t go to the gym for like five hours or attempt to lift like a thousand pounds. The first day kind of falls back even into realistic goals. Yeah, it’s not a realistic goal that you can even pace yourself. And a lot of this alpha men were like, Oh, if I’m going to do, I’m really going to draw me to tear it up. I’m going to go in there, crush every machine of a stack. And you had hurt yourself, ended up burning out and you have another notch on your belt, a failure.

And that’s frustrating. So it makes sure you set up yourself up with a good realistic plan. And we’ve got simple idiot proof templates at the gym that we give free trainer instruction on. This shows you how to do that. So you have mine freedom to follow the document and be extremely successful.

I’ve trained over 5,000 clients. I want you to get started on something that it’s logical, realistic, and will really get you in shape, right? Number four in the last component is to educate yourself. Make sure yourself, you surround yourself with people that are going to teach you the right stuff, the right form, the right techniques so you don’t get hurt.

You do it just right. And we also have that for free as well. So I want my action step for you guys is to go down to the gym, sign up. It’s a money back guarantee. It’s only $1 down. You get to use the gym for free for 30 days. If it’s a not good fit, good fit for you, we’ll give you your dollar back. So no, no pressure, no nothing on that.

And then you can get in with our free training. They give you free, easy to follow, idiot proof template to follow. It’s very, very simple. We have tons of success. Highly encourage you to not believe me, but to go to YouTube and type in Colaw fitness reviews, Colaw Fitness reviews on YouTube, and watch the hundreds and hundreds of clients just like yourself, beginner fitness people losing weight and getting in great shape.

Great results. So anyways, that is the four keys for beginner fitness basics. And this is Charles and Amber Colaw. This is the fitness tip of the week. We’ll see you next week. Bye bye.
