Hey, we’re Charles and Amber Colaw here with fitness tip of the week. Charles, we had the question, how do I get motivated to work out motivation? I believe that motivation is really, really tough to just get. And so what I’ve learned is action over emotion. So taking action first, um, there’s a thing that we do.
Like if we’re waking up in the morning, you literally like count down backwards, like three, two, one, and then we literally just explode and get up and then take action. Because if you’re waiting for your emotions to line up, it will always hold you hostage longer than you want and screw you up. So I tell my clients, if you want to get in shape, just get down to the gym, start walking on the treadmill.
Next thing you know, your motivational started increased because when blood flow increases serotonin and dopamine are pleasure sensors in the brain, those will increase. And then your motivation will increase. So action over emotion. Think of the Nike slogan, just do it. And then the emotions align up, right?
So the big takeaway is action. Over emotion that is equal success. So taking action prior to before your emotions and you’re going to be successful. So don’t let your emotions hold you hostage from your fitness success. Take action first. And then the emotions alignment. That’s the fitness tip. This is Charles and Amber Colaw have a blessed week.
