Hey, we’re Charles and Amber Colaw here with the fitness tip of the week fitness tip. Okay. How often should I work out? Well, uh, I would say every day, all day. Every day.
No, but really how often should you work out? This is a very common question. People say, how many times a week should I work out? I recommend a lot of people work out with weights at least three times a week. Um, uh, you can split that up in different muscle groups and so on.
Um, the real key thing is, is that when you work out a muscle really hard and you fail between eight and 15 repetitions, it causes a microfiber tear. It’s a small tear in the muscle and it generally takes about 72 hours to recover. And you don’t want to overtrain or do it again.
So you really need to kind of wait about about a third or fourth day before you repeat that same muscle group, really heavy. Um, with beginners, a lot of times they’re not training to full, like they think they’re working out hard, but they’re really not working out that hard.
Um, so the whole point is how often should you work out? I would say anywhere from three to six days a week with at least one off day. Um, that’s generally what I like to do is at least I like to go every day, but I hit different muscle groups. So I wait at least 72 hours before I hit a muscle group again.
Um, but yeah, at least three times a week, make sure you’re hitting the weights. Um, get into our CF 30 plan. That’s a Cola fitness 30 day, easy to follow a workout plan and journal and diet plan.
