Workout in Joplin | Colaw Fitness Podcast #39 | Should I workout under stress?
Hey, this is Charles and Amber Colaw. Today we’re going to give you a fitness tip. Amber, give us the fitness tip. Well, we had a question.
Come in from a member asking should I workout when I’m under stress, so I’m assuming the question might be if I’m, if I fill a high amount of stress in my life, should I go workout?
Well, yes. I would say exercising when you’re stressed actually is going to help reduce that stress. You, serotonin and dopamine are pleasure hormones in the brain and your body actually releases those. When you exercise, when you’re nitrite oxide, you lift weights, you do running your, your blood vessels dilate, your body releases these pleasure endorphins and you actually reduce a lot of stress hormones and it’s actually very beneficial for you to exercise under stress.
I even work out when I’m slightly sick, not like really sick and I actually feel better, faster circulation. I would probably not say sick. Probable just don’t feel 100% yeah, kind of don’t feel like kinda like a like emotional type of thing yet. It’s definitely a great pick me up for that. You’ll get done working out. You’ll feel better, you’ll feel less stressed. So the answer is yes, you do want to exercise when you’re under stress. It’s a great stress reliever. So it’s a fitness tip.
